Try out moong soup that’s tasty and also good for weight loss. This nourishing moong soup recipe is easily digestible and high on energy. You can make it more healthier by adding few chunks of low fat paneer and grated carrots after completing step 4 and saute and simmer for sometime before serving.
Moong dal 100gm, 5 cups water, oil 3 spoons, cumin seeds 1 tbsp, curry leaves 5 leaves, asafoetida a pinch.
Method of Preparation:
Clean and wash moong thoroughly and add 5 cups of
water and pressure cook for 3 to 4 whistles.
Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan and add cumin seeds.
When the seeds crackle, add curry leaves, asafoetida and moong(along with water), mix it well and bring to boil.
Add lemon juice and saute for sometime.
Serve the nourishing moong soup hot garnished with coriander.
